Rachel Evans
I am a citizen journalist, anti-racist, socialist activist and researcher based in Sydney. I am involved in Aboriginal rights campaigning, marriage equality battles, refugee rights issues and write regularly for progressive newspaper Green Left Weekly. I am involved in solidarity with anti-capitalist revolutions in Latin America and Rojava, Kurdistan. I studied Writing and International Studies at the University Technology Sydney, and studied at National Autonomous University of Mexico for six months. I am currently doing a Masters of Research at Sydney University studying Indigenous self-determination battles. I have traveled and written about the revolution in Venezuela, Bolivia and Cuba. I have published a pamphlet on 'Rainbow Cuba: the sexual revolution within the revolution,' and feature in a pamphlet 'The Road to Rainbow Liberation: marriage,sex and gender rights today.'
